OH NO! Toe Woes...

WARNING: if you don't like the sight of feet or suffer from  a foot phobia of sorts... look away now...

 This little piggy hurts.
This little piggy went to A&E and got xrayed.
This little piggy is broken.

This little piggy was securely strapped up ...
...and this little piggy was sent wee wee weeee all the way home, for a week of bed rest and a double prescription for some off the wall, knock ya out pain killers. awesome.

(i apologized to 4 members of staff on separate occasions for my nasty nail paint euuuuuurrrrgh)
outfit of the day, urgh uggs are the only shoe that will fit
Doctors told me to have my foot up for at least 5 days but after 3 days of lying in bed, I have been super drowsy and going out of mind on drugs as cabin fever set in. Today I decided to get up and start reppin' my crutches...
....and bake.
This little piggy had Chocolate fluff brownies. hot straight form the pan, Best medicine ever.

home made beetroot relish and deli chicken sammih
My eats have been simple and pretty snacky and minimal as i haven't got the mobility to get down stairs to the kitchen and rattle those pots and pans... Need a private chef or something to see to my demanding and constant foodie/ peanut butter needs.
 black bean brownie bites.
Yeah, that homemade beet relish is preeeettty special, recipe post will be up next! as well as the improved black bean brownies!
For dinner i escaped my cave and spent the evening round my mate charlottes for a sex in the city marathon and popcorn/potato chip night. just what I needed.
Anyway, Im off for nap number 5 of the day/ bedtime. peace out.

p.s Bobbin in a hat (dont want this post to be all about me me me)

What I ate Wednesday... MUFFIN MOBILE...

S'up playaaaasss. I just rolled up in my first set of wheels!
Yup Bake and Beebz is on the road... reppin' in a zebra print smart car! we've nicked named her the muffin mobile... I just need to pass my practical test next. But for the time being Im being chauffeur driven around in our new motor by Mr BnB!
we have been zipping about enjoying our freedom, my first request was that we make the drive to the next town to get to the nearest frozen yoghurt place!

Whilst at the shopping centre also picked up some essentials... American candy...

Back to W.I.A.W and Back to the business...as my resolution stipulates, im going to get back into blogging regularly, so i'ma just hop on board the W.I.A.W train once more...

I think one of the things that made me lose my blog mojo is the lack of day light. My SLR just isnt a happy bunny with out natural light so I'm having to pretty much rely on instargram on my iphone to capture anything.

Breakfast:
7 am... GF fibre flakes with blue berries and half a chopped apple.
morning snack: Glass o' Green monstah... spinach, Soya milk and protein powder smoothie for some extra nutrients.
Lunch, 1pm: 2 slices of seedy gluten free bread. one, topped with guacah molaaay and beetroot slices and the other smuthered in Peanut butter. washed down with a bubbley soda pop.
For dessert I had myself a nibble of some warrrrrm chocolate chip cookie that I baked. Its a new to me box mix, and it was chewie chocolate win.
Gonna take the rest into work for a mid week pick up for my colleagues! (if there are any left by tomorrow...)
then walked bobbin over the local fields this afternoon and then Before heading go to the gym, I had a bowl of hoooatmeal heaven. banana, caramel pudding and dark chocolate dreams PB topped oats.
{INSERT KILLAH STAIR MASTER WORKOUT} Hit the gym for some cardio and strength excercises with harry. Did 20 mins on the stationary bike and only 10 minutes on the stepper machine but I was seriously wiped, my bum was beat so me and my sore limbs headed home for din dins.
post workout fuel of the baby ruth bar I bought, not the best protien source I'd admit. My sweet tooth has been in constant ohhhver drive since Christmas. I'm very much struggling to resist ALL chocolate sugary temptations. waaaahhhh... But dinner was a delicious pitta pizza... Gluten free pitta base with pesto topped with mushrooms and mozzarella. served with a simple balsamic tom and spinach salad. yum.
annnnnd that was the day that was. lots o' nomz woz had. Time to, make myself a hot drink and watch some Dexter! ive only started watching it, but I'm so hooked! G'night.

what did you eat wednesday????
has christmas/ the holidays left you in a sugary rut? hat ways do you combat the indulgences of the past few weeks?

As always thanks to Jenn at Peas and Crayons for hosting W.I.A.W!

W.I.A.W : when gluten attacks...

6.45 am bowl of hot hots with frozen raspberrys half chopped banana and dollop of crunchy PB. after this steaming creamy start, I sneekily crawled back into bed for another 10 minutes, before admitting defeat, and telling myself im a grown up now and need to go to work, Reluctantly changed from my PJ's into my out fit of the day...

Today is a lil different, Im off to the district council office's for a Training day in how to teach spelling and phonics to little people, so I went pretty casual.

Denim Jacket- American apparel
oversized grey sweater- topshop
leggings- Primark
scarf- charity shop/thrift.
purse- urban outfitters
bag- cath kidston
NEW SHOES- Topshop!
I bought two pairs this weekend, white leather loafers and some smart black brogues... I was only going to get one pair, after deliberating on the shop floor for an hour, walking about with one on each foot... Mr Bake n Beebz (who was starting to lose his patients) made the choice and said we should get both! so I did.

Break Time, this was very well received. The coarse was painfully slow and the lady training us was pretty unenthusiastic, monotone with sweat patches. By 10.30am I was loosing the will to live. luckily there was light at the end of the tunnel... a cup of tea and one of my cookies. without chocolate, i don't think I would have made it through today....
At 12.30 I was nudged by the colleague next to me and awoken from a nap, to the best news from the lecturer... lunch was on the council, free food! waaahey!
Ran down to the canteen and elbowed my way to the front of the que... today's hot meal was a roast veggie frittata... and I was assured it was Gluten free. I also grabbed a diet cola and the only GF pudding strawberry JELLLOOOOH.
The slab of frittata was jam packed with roasted sweet potato, mushrooms and bell peppers. so good. So good it almost made me forget that I had to go back... I was so tempted to run, run and never look back. But once again I told myself 'im an a big girl now, I cant bunk lessons if i want to be a teacher'... so, back to class for another siesta ;)
To keep up the morale I picked up some emergency chocolate... ate a few balls... then immediately felt bizarre. I popped the packet back into my bag but progressively I felt queasy and dizzy. It wasn't til i got home and looked at the packet... THERE IN BLACK AND WHITE.... CONTAINS GLUTEN. ergh, im normally so, so careful, its been a long time since i have had gluten and I seriously forgot how it affects me.
I felt so lethargic by 5 pm I ate a little teeney portion of this curry, homemade with spinach and cauliflower. Then crawled into bed where i remained, unable to do much and just flopped for the the rest of the evening.
WAHHHHHH, The moral of this story... I WISH I HAD JUST STAYED IN BED THIS MORNING :)
Which concludes another What I ate Wednesday (but really Tuesday.)

What as the best thing you ate today? definitely my cookie and the chocolate was pretty tight, til it went and made me sad.
Have you ever been on a work training coarse? or team building exercise *shudders*?

What I Ate Wednesday.

I love cake... .and this tastes like cake. Brilliant. A warming gigantic bowl of carrot cakey cinnamony oatmeal...The only thing certain to get me out of bed of late, and hands down the best way to start a chilly day.
I have been having this awesome oatmeal combo religiously for the past few days.  The playas in the Breakfast mix are : 1/2 cup gluten free buckwheat oats, one grated carrot, raisins chopped walnuts, cinnamon, all spice, applesauce, a dash of soya milk and a little sweetener.
Lunches have been mostley open face sammiches... here is a beet, turkey mayo numbah, with GF pretzels and always with a side of spinach and glugs of balsamic vinegar.
For afters I had a slice of my skinny spiced carrot cake bar with a cuppa English tea.
On Sunday, I went shopping with Harry to London's Brent cross shopping centre to spend some money we dont have, as soon as we parked up in the shopping mall car park our tummies were rumbling so we headed to our favourite, Wagamama.
I wanted to try something different, (variety is the spice of life my friends)  I went for the chicken Donburi rice bowl, Made Gluten Free... and taste free, it arrived after a very long wait and was plain rice, plain chicken and a whole grated carrot, I was a little disappointed but still devoured it. Mr bake and beebz know what he likes and had his staple Chilli Raman... he like things hot hot hot. If you have been to wagas... what dishes would you recommend?
Outfit of the day...
spent what seemed like hours at the mac counter trying to find a new lippy... but nothing was purchased.
After coming away empty handed and a Little sadden, I suddenly spotted FRO YO, YO! sprinted over and after a little taste testing plumped for pomegranate with fresh raspburries and yogurt covered dried fruit toppings. When ever I see a frozen yogurt vendor i go excitedly bizurk, harry will testify this.
On a trip to St. Albans market to get the weekly fresh fruit and veg, to supply my huge demands me and my mum got this basil mozzarella from one of those little the stinky cheese stalls.
Its not stinky at all...this tastes like a a caprese salad rolled into one cheese wheel...
so supper was a mini basil mozza toast pizza... pesto, toms and onion topped with what looks like snot... but its not. om nom nom.
To round off dinner I had another slice of my cake. so much carrot up in this post, man.
In the evening I got in a Gym session... started of with some 20 minute elliptical, 10 minute treadmill burst and cool down for 10 minz on the stationary bike. followed by a weighty strength workout. FEELING DA BURN.  totally pooped me out!
Crawled home to a big banana protien powder green monster shake...
AAAAAHHHnd this other big monster... this bad boy was hiding in my bed, under my pillow... Im not affraid of spiders in the least but no kidding he's the size of my fricken face, tried to catch him, but he got away and im not sure which direction... he'll be back. How many spiders is it they say you eat in your sleep? oh dear ain't gonna sleep well tonight.
What was the best thing you ate lately? I hope mine isn't this spider...
As always, thanks jenn for hosting another W.I.A.W
